The Black Church Hates God

In my 3 decades of life, I have never seen such a time as this where the so-called people of God — The Black Church — hate Him so much. I don’t mean hate in the sense of not acknowledging Him as the Creator; I mean it in the sense of willfully choosing to live and accept a lifestyle of sin that God clearly forbids. That is the predicament of the black church today, where they not only tolerate abominable lifestyles such as homosexuality; they defend them with all their might. Yet, while purposefully living contrary to Him; they still claim to love Him. This strange type of love for God has never been seen before in the black church prior to the 21st century.

When I was coming up as a youth, The Black Church was viewed as the standard of righteousness by unbelievers from the black race and white race. There was something peculiar about how the people of the black church lived (most of them, not all) that separated them from the way the rest of the world lived. That peculiarity came from them living by the commandments of YAH concerning morality. Although it wasn’t widely known to the black church back then that we were the true biblical Israelites or which day the Sabbath was on, it was widely known that living contrary to YAH’s law was a sin (1 John 3:4). Therefore, since they knew what sin was, they conformed their lifestyles to His commandments — at least the ones they were taught to keep — so that they would not be sinners.

However, the commandments that the black church used to keep were not extraordinary or burdensome; they were just plain ol common sense. For instance, the majority of the commandments that the black church kept back in the day had to do with the laws concerning the reproduction of life. These laws included the following:

  • Be fruitful and multiply. – Genesis 1:28
  • Do not murder. – Exodus 20:13
  • Do not have sex with another person’s spouse. – Exodus 20:14
  • Do not have sex with any relatives in your family. – Leviticus 18:6-18
  • Do not have sex with someone of the same gender. – Leviticus 18:22
  • Do not have sex with animals. – Leviticus 18:23
  • Do not intermarry. – Deuteronomy 7:3

The 7 laws above are YAH’s most common sense rules to follow to keep our race reproducing. And the black church used to follow these laws to a “T” back in the day. Take the first commandment for instance. When I was coming up, black families were so large in the church that you would often have 5-12 uncles and aunts on each side of your family. In my family alone, I think I had about 15 different uncles and aunts as well as a football team of cousins. This was because my family, like most black families back in the day, considered having many children to be a blessing (Psalms 127:3). Therefore, they would have children for as long as they could, even in their old ages; just like the Hebrews of the bible. This is why the black family still is pretty large today, despite all of America’s plans to exterminate us, because our ancestors fulfilled YAH’s commandment “to be fruitful and multiply”.

Since the old black church joyously kept YAH’s first law of reproduction, they naturally kept the rest. The majority them did not practice abortion (murder), adultery, incest, bestiality, homosexuality or interracial marriage because they loved YAH; which enabled them to love themselves. Today, however is a totally different story. While most black churches today still do not practice incest or bestiality, they do practice abortion, adultery, homosexuality, and interracial marriage. Among these 4 sins, homosexuality is the most widespread practice in the modern black church. It is not only practiced by the members, but some of the pastors even practice this lifestyle as well. And for the pastors who are not homosexuals; they openly invite and welcome those who are, to come and fellowship with them…Not to get them to repent (turn away) from that lifestyle, but to accept their lifestyle.

The issue with this is that by accepting the sin of homosexuality inside of the church, it has convinced the church to accept other sinful lifestyles as well. This is why there is so much adultery, fornication, molestation and abuse going on inside many black churches today because by accepting one sin inside the camp, you invite the acceptance of all sins. And since the church is now full of sin, it no longer represents YAH because it resembles the WORLD instead of the WORD. As a result, the worldly society looks at the worldliness in the church and thinks that God has changed His views on what sin is. They get on social media and see homosexuals and fornicators in leadership positions in the church and think that it’s okay to be gay now. Since the church no longer sets the standard of morality; the world has no model to follow after.

The average black church today is nothing more than a whore house filled with sinners posing as saints. From the leadership to the flock, almost the entire congregation is living in sin. Not committing sins by mistake, but willfully living them out with no guilt or conviction at all. This is why the world no longer shuns the black church anymore, but even attends it on occasions because it resembles a BET award show, rather than a biblical assembly. A sinner can go there, laugh, joke, have a good time, hear a motivational sermon that makes them feel comfortable in their sins, and leave the same exact way they came without any conviction to change. The church no longer inspires sinners to repent; it instead inspires them to remain sinners.

As a result of the black church’s lack of accountability in leading the black community by the moral commandments of God, the reproduction rate of the black family is at an all-time low. Instead of having 5-15 children as our great grandparents did, most of us now are only having 1-3 children. This is mainly due to high amount of abortions and gay relationships that we as a people produce each year. Then, the children that we do bring into the world, most of them come from fornication instead of marriage; which forces many children to grow up in a single parent household. On top of all that, black marriages are decreasing and interracial marriages are increasing; which further divides and destroys the black family unit. And all of this destruction to the black family is happening because the church fell in love with sinning and out of love with God. Therefore, because they don’t love God, they don’t love themselves, and prove it by willingly accepting and participating in lifestyles that destroy our race.

Consequently, when someone from the church does rise up to speak out against the sin of homosexuality and other sexually immoral sins that is going on in the church, the church openly condemns them for it so they can save face with the sinners. A great example of this took place recently in the case of pastor and gospel singer Kim Burrell. Before the new year hit, she preached a message of warning to her church that people who are in the closet homosexuals will die in their sins in 2017. Somehow, the video of her sermon went viral online and the news media picked it up and began slandering her name for her comments against homosexuality. Since then, the sister was fired from her radio show, dropped from the gospel awards, and has been constantly persecuted by both the world and the church. Instead of the prominent people of the black church coming to her rescue and taking up for in the media for her stance for truth, many of them took sides with the world and began slandering her name as well.

It is actions such as these that prove without a shadow of doubt that the today’s black church truly hates God. Of course this does not apply to all black churches, because there are still some who still have a standard of morality that is based on YAH’s laws. However, the majority of black churches are completely out of order and this article is referencing them. Those who have the ears, let them hear!

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor verbal abusers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. – 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Great article. Because I live in the UK, I hadn’t heard about Kim Burrell. What a joke to persecute her like that. She should’ve used scripture though, otherwise it comes off as it it’s your opinion. She should have SHOWN people in the Bible – both old and new Testament, how God feels about homosexuality. Roman 1:25 and Lev 20:13 are very clear.

People are REALLY confused about what the Bible says. God doesn’t change. If He didn’t want homosexuality in the Old Testament, He doesn’t want it now. Romans 1:25 shows us how He feels about homosexuality.

All this has been building up over the years. As soon as the church misunderstood the Apostle Paul in the NT by stating that ‘God’s Laws are Done away with,’ this opened the door to this eventually happened.

The only section of the Law that Christ fulfilled was the Law of Sacrifices – animal sacrifice –all the other laws stand. However, because most people – Pastors include – read the Bible like a novel instead of how the Bible instructs we should read it: precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little, biblically understanding is very poor.

This has lead to the misinterpretations that modern day Christianity thrives on.

    For instance:

Many still don’t understand that those ‘Gentiles’ and ‘branches’ that the apostle Paul grafted in were actually Israelite foreigners from the cut off ten tribed northern Kingdom of Israel that had been cut off in the Old Testament due to their idolatry.

“The Lord called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken. For the Lord of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.” (Jeremiah 11:-16-17)

It was Israelites who were the branches that Paul is referring to in Romans 11. Paul was constantly quoting the Old Testament, as was Christ and all the other apostles. Paul’s job was to graft them back in. Both non-Israelites and Israelites alike can be Gentiles. When you begin reading the epistles in the NT, all of them are addressed to Israelites: to the twelve tribes scattered abroad, to the saints, to the elect, to the scattered strangers. These are all letters written to Israelites. 1 Corinthians 10 is a prime example of this:

‘Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea. And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea…’

These Greek ‘Corinthians’ were Israelites. Only Israelites went through the sea with Moses, not Greeks.

I left the ‘church’ over four years ago, and haven’t looked back. I can’t think of one thing that the modern day church – black or not – teaches that is actually biblically correct. Like you said, it’s nothing more than a concert with motivational speeches. Lies. They make Christians feel good, but nothing they’re being told is based on the Bible.

    – God loves everyone – Does He? Because Romans 9:13 says he hates the nation of Edom

    – Everyone’s a sinner – Really? Because only Israelites can sin because only they were given the law. Sin is the transgression of the Law. Who was given the Law? – ‘ He showeth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the Lord’ .Psalm 147:19-20

    – You can’t earn your salvation with works? Really? Revelation 22:14 says that Chris twill judge us on our works – ‘Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.’ (Rev 22:14)

    – Christ died for all of humanity – Really? Because the Bible tells us over and over again that Christ only needed to die for those who had broken the Law- Covenant. (Acts 5:30, Romans 10, Acts 13:23-26) The ‘world’ in John 3:16 shows you, when we read it precept upon precept and match it up with Isaiah 45:17, that the world is the world of Israel, as only Israel was given the law to break, and therefore became sinners.

This is why salvation is the be rescued from the curse of the Broken Law-Covenant. As only Israel was given it and broke it, only Israel needs redeeming / breaking from it.

    – God doesn’t separate people or races? Really? – ‘When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.’

    – God doesn’t mind interracial marriage. Sigh. Matt 25:31 and Isaiah 13 say something quite different. If you’re linked / joined to someone of another nation, you don’t want these verses to be your portion.

    – The New Covenant / New Testament is between God and all of humanity – Really? Because Hebrews 8:8 is very clear that the New Covenant is only with the house of Judah (2 southern tribes of Israel) and the House of Israel (ten tribed northern kingdom of Israel)

The problem is, because the true Hebrews fell as a nation, the correct understanding of our Book – the Bible- has not been preached in this world. As a result, millions of people have been complexly and utterly lied to, and truly believe that the God who never changes has changed His mind about who He loves and who His chose people are.

Thank you for this article Brother Maurice. When you get a moment, please check out the following: this is titled “Children of the Covenant-Hebrew Curses of Deuteronomy 28” taught in plain language (laymen’s terms). I wish more people would view and listen and take this message to heart but their eyes have to be opened by the Lord Most High. Shalom!

May YAH barack and keep you achy.. This article needs to be heard and I appreciate you taking the time to write it. It’s always pleasing to see my people standing for YAH instead of the world. It’s a disappointing reality what our churches have become. So much to the point that I can’t find one church in my community that truly stands for yah and enforcing his word.
todah, and I look forward to your next post!

    • Maurice Lindsay January 25, 2017, 6:14 pm

Shalom Tayna! Thanks for your comments! And yes, it sure is a disappointing reality to see what our churches have become. The sadder part is that the people who attend these churches think they are actually pleasing our father, and have no idea they are on the path to destruction.

    Excellent post as usual.

    Shalom Maurice,

This article is one of the best articles you’ve written so far. Being against homosexuality and same-sex marriage is not homophobia. I pray that the black church of today can redeem itself of its vices it has engaged in so the future black generations won’t make the same mistakes.

    • Maurice Lindsay January 25, 2017, 6:09 pm

Shalom Doc. Thanks for the kind words! And I too, hope for better in the black church but I think it’s too far gone to be redeemed.

Perfect article. I agreed with every word. I am a practicing Seventh day adventist and really remember as a child how church used to be really reverent and we followed the biblical laws with a willingness and respect.
These days now most ( NOT ALL) people that attend church to worship on sabbath just don’t know how to conduct themselves both during worship and as Christians during the week. I just feel like the faith I adore is quickly turning into a typical average Sunday church.
